If you’re eye tracker seems to be malfunctioning the first thing to try is to see if the DAQ cards and connections are working without using Beethoven.
There is a program called Measurement and Automation Explorer from National Instruments installed on your computer. Run it. You will see the card choice 6025e, this samples the eye position. Right click on it and see a choice called “Test”. This will open a small window with a graph that shows analog input. This will show you if the analog signal is coming through. If it NOT, then you have a connection problem. Maybe something is lose or misconnected. If the graph is plotting data however, then the problem is in Beethoven’s settings. In this case the most common culprit is that the eye signal offset is too far left or right, etc. By pressing the ‘5’ key on the number pad, Beethoven will center the offset of the analog signal.
